How to Check EPF Balance Using UAN Number
Step 1: To check EPF balance, a person must have an active Universal Account Number. To do so, go to the EPF portal and click on ‘For Employees’ in the ‘Services’ category, after which you will find the option ‘Member Passbook.’ Click there and enter password and UAN to sign in.
An OTP will be sent to the mobile number of Aadhaar
You need to enter the OTP and press ‘Verify’. Your balance of EPF will appear on the screen.

EPF balance check via Umang app:
To check the EPF balance one can download the UMANG application in their phone. Users must register themselves along with their UAN to avail the facilities offered by the application.
Steps:
Download UMANG app.
Open the application by tapping on ‘Social Security.’
Click on ‘EPFO.’
Tap on ‘View Passbook.’
Insert the UAN number and retrieve the OTP.
Insert the OTP in the given space and click on ‘Submit’.
– Click on the company for whose passbook you wish to see
– Check EPF Balance without UAN Number.
